Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 2, 2026. How Tario HVAC handles your information — in plain language, with your rights spelled out.

This Privacy Policy describes how Tario HVAC, LLC ("Tario," "we," "us," or "our"), a Maryland limited liability company located at 1319 Maple Ave, Halethorpe, MD 21227, collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit tariohvac.com (the "Site"), contact us, or use our heating, cooling, plumbing, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Site or Services, you agree to the practices described here.

This policy was drafted for Tario HVAC's specific operations; we recommend a final review by the company's own counsel before publication.

1. Who We Are

Tario HVAC, LLC is a family-owned heating, cooling, and plumbing company serving Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. We are the "controller" of personal information collected through the Site. You can reach us at (410) 314-1161 or support@tariohvac.com.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Service and contact forms: name, email address, phone number, service address, the service you're interested in, and the details of your request or message.
  • Job applications: name, contact details, position of interest, work history you describe, and any résumé or attachments you upload. Application materials are used solely for recruiting and hiring.
  • Phone, text, and email communications: the contents of communications you send us, and call details when you call our office. Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality and training where permitted by law, with notice.
  • Payments and financing: we do not collect or store full payment-card numbers on the Site. Financing applications are made directly with Wells Fargo (see Section 5) and are governed by Wells Fargo's own privacy policy.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and usage data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page, and general location inferred from IP) via cookies and similar technologies, and analytics services where enabled (see Section 4).
  • Form-security signals (such as reCAPTCHA scores and honeypot fields) used to distinguish people from bots when you submit a form.

3. How We Use Information

  • To respond to your requests, schedule and perform service, and provide estimates.
  • To communicate with you about appointments, follow-ups, and your account.
  • To process job applications and conduct recruiting.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including spam and fraud prevention.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Cookies, Analytics & Browser Signals

The Site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies: strictly necessary cookies (site function and security), a cookie-consent preference, and — where enabled — analytics tags (such as Google Tag Manager/Analytics) that help us understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through our consent banner and your browser settings; blocking non-essential cookies does not prevent you from using the Site.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) / Do Not Track: where analytics or similar technologies would constitute "sharing" under applicable law, we treat a recognized GPC signal as a valid opt-out for that browser.

5. How Information Is Shared

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers that operate the Site and our lead handling — for example, our website platform and form-relay provider (CI Web Group's HydraOS platform), hosting/CDN providers, analytics providers, and reCAPTCHA (Google) for form security. They may process data only on our instructions.
  • Wells Fargo, if you choose to apply for financing. The application occurs on Wells Fargo's site; credit decisions and the handling of your application data are made solely by Wells Fargo under its own privacy policy.
  • Embedded third-party content: our contact page embeds Google Maps, and the Site loads Google Fonts; those services may receive your IP address and standard request data when the content loads.
  • Legal and safety recipients when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property, and in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets), in which case this policy continues to apply.

6. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months.

7. Your Privacy Rights (Maryland, Virginia, DC & California)

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal information:

  • Access / to know — confirm whether we process your data and obtain a copy.
  • Correction — fix inaccurate personal information.
  • Deletion — request deletion, subject to legal retention needs.
  • Portability — receive your data in a usable format.
  • Opt out — of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling (we conduct none of these as of the effective date).
  • Non-discrimination — we will not penalize you for exercising rights.

Maryland residents have these rights under the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA) as its provisions take effect. Virginia residents have equivalent rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), including the right to appeal a refusal — if we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and if the appeal is denied you may contact the Virginia Attorney General. District of Columbia residents may have rights under applicable DC consumer-protection law. California residents have corresponding rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing (see Section 6 — we do not sell or share).

To exercise any right: email support@tariohvac.com with the subject "Privacy Request," or call (410) 314-1161. We will verify your identity using the contact details associated with your records and respond within the time required by your state's law (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent where your state permits.

8. Your Privacy Choices

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

This section explains the choices you have over your personal information and how to exercise them. It is written for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and we honor the same opt-out mechanism for every visitor regardless of where you live.

What we collect: the categories of personal information we collect, why we collect them, and who we disclose them to are listed in Section 2 (Information We Collect) and Section 5 (How Information Is Shared) above.

Sale and sharing: our position on the sale of personal information and on sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising is stated in Section 6 above. Regardless of that determination, the Site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (Section 4), and we give you a clear way to turn that off.

How to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information:

  • On this site: choose "Decline optional" on the cookie banner. Only necessary cookies will run. Your choice is saved and applied on return visits. To change a saved choice, clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser and the banner will ask again.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): we honor the GPC browser signal as a valid opt-out. If your browser sends GPC, analytics and advertising storage is denied automatically on this site, and a GPC signal overrides an earlier "Accept all".
  • By phone or email: call (410) 314-1161 or email support@tariohvac.com and tell us you want to opt out.

As a California resident, you also have the right to:

  • Know and access: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, and who we shared it with.
  • Delete: request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Correct: request that we fix inaccurate personal information.
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not collect sensitive personal information through this website beyond what you choose to type into a form.
  • Non-discrimination: we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.

To make any of these requests, call (410) 314-1161, email support@tariohvac.com with the subject "Privacy Request," or write to Tario HVAC, LLC, 1319 Maple Ave, Halethorpe, MD 21227. We will verify your request using the information you provide and respond within the time the law allows. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. Residents of Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia have parallel rights described in Section 7.

Your Canadian Privacy Rights (PIPEDA & Quebec Law 25)

If you are a resident of Canada, we handle your personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Access: request access to the personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy.
  • Correction: request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Withdrawal of consent: withdraw your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits. The cookie banner and the GPC signal described above are the mechanisms for withdrawing consent to non-essential cookies.

Quebec residents (Law 25): if you reside in Quebec, you have equivalent rights of access, correction, and withdrawal of consent under Quebec’s private-sector privacy law (Law 25), including the right to complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

To exercise any of these rights, call (410) 314-1161 or email support@tariohvac.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We will respond within the timeframes PIPEDA requires and may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site and Services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA), and our Services are not marketed to minors. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: service records for the life of the customer relationship plus the period required for warranty, tax, and legal purposes; job-application materials for up to two years unless you ask us to delete them sooner; form-security signals and raw analytics on the short cycles set by those providers. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a business of our size — including TLS encryption in transit, access controls on lead and customer records, and bot protection on forms. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by Maryland law and the law of your state of residence.

Links to third-party sites (including Wells Fargo, Google Maps, and our social profiles) are provided for convenience. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. Review their policies before providing information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The "Effective date" above will always reflect the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page for 30 days. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
